94 SSE Cascading Electrical Problem, Which BCM? and Location
Have not had Cruise Control for awhile (not the main problem) than Cilmate Control does not light-up and runs in "limp along mode" running the A/C and blowing on the windshield. Than the HUD disappears after Air Bad/ABS Etc. diagnotsics. NOW when started and has run through the diagnostics the HORN blows constantly (had to pull the fuse).
I think is possably one or more BCM module. Please advise specific location and how to remove.
Help please.
Thanks,
David

That's definately a weird combo of issues. There isn't much for body control modules, though. Lots of stuff was still relay controlled. First thing I'd do is clean up the ground busses at the bottom of the a-pillars. I think there's an article in Techinfo for it. I don't think it would cause most of that, but it's easy to rule out first.
I definately don't think it would address the horn though. Bad ground would stop it from working, not so much cause it to blare on its own. That would be more of a "wire's worn through or broken and making contact with each other" problem. Me, I'd take the kick panels off and start looking for a mouse nest in the dash.

Before assuming this is an electrical problem, ensure that the cruise control cable has not worn through where it connects to the throttle body.iwin12 wrote:Have not had Cruise Control for awhile (not the main problem)
