Detail ?

Post by Shadowfax »

Do you use clay bar after you wash the car?
I'm not really sure the order to do everything and that's probably why my car stays dirty all the time :???:

yess clay bar after the car is washed. and then wash the car again after clay baring.

if you clay bar first then you'll just push the dirt and grime around and scratch the crap out of the car

Rinse car
Wash car from the top down (using two buckets, one for rinse water)
Wash wheels/fender wells last
Dry car
Clay bar car
Wash again if desired
Enjoy a clean car

Uhh you guys always apply wax after using a clay bar right? The clay bar pretty much strips off any old wax..

Yes, wax or sealant. I currently use Megs NXT 2.0, excellent stuff, close to the performance of a sealant.

If liquid glass is done right with two or three coats, it's unbeatable.
But NXT is still really good.

Over the counter clays pretty much strip wax, but there are mild clays that won't.
