I've got the wheel and installed it, but I haven't yet wired it up, since I need to find a source for the wiring and other column parts to support the controls. The wheel comes from a 1992 Century limited, as GM never offered the UK3 option on the LeSabre or Electra/Park Avenue, despite offering it on the Oldsmobile and Pontiac H/C body cars of that era. I also need to clean or replace the horn pad.

I believe my stereo, being the up-level cd player for that year can receive the signals. In the FSM it shows the conenction to the serial data line on the radio harness, but labels it as "not used".

Yes that HU you have is set up for steering wheel controls, and does have the little controller card... What ever they call it..

when I installed the steering wheel controls on my LE I added the internal parts and 3 or 4 wires... I know I had to tap into the Illumination, 12v switched, Ground and Data... Its a really interesting set up, and is still impressive today... Really impressive that they had the technology for it in 85-86...lol
