Good interior products

Post by EWC88 »

So I never really did a good condition to my dash or anything like that and I know I need to. So I was wondering what are some good products I should pick up that I can use on my dash and other vinyl/ plastic surfaces?

I have been using and loving 303 Aerospace Protectant. Leaves a nice look without being too shiny or greasy. I also just use a cheap, dry microfiber to clean up dust in between cleanings.

My brother uses the 303 Aerospace stuff and he's gotten great results and works exactly as Ryan described. He also uses it as a tire shine that isn't excessively shiny or wet looking.

I use Meguiar's Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner #40. I've had great results, cleans well and doesn't leave too much shine either. It's also a UV protectant.

sandrock turned me onto Lexol and Vinylex for leather and plastics. Seeing LeSabreUltra's S-10 seats coming out of the junk yard last SEBF, before and after cleaning, it worked wonders! So I've been using it since then and used it to clean up the 2-year-old-moldy seats in the '93, and they look brand new aside from wrinkles and tears from age. It also fits closely to the same description Ryan gave for the 303 stuff, doesn't leave it looking too shiny or greasy.

Still haven't found something to get up ALL the glitter from my ex's prom dress though...

Ed, the bad part is I let my brother take the '01 to his prom and his date had a glittery dress too. Now it's in both cars. #-o
It's not in the back seat though, so at least I can confirm that didn't happen.

Sorry, Back on topic though:

So true. I had to clean it out of my dad's 03 gtp after dances all the time. It sucked more because it had the mesh center inserts in the seats.

Ahh, back in the day.

I use this also. Been having great results. It's cheaper to buy the gallon jug though.

My old 93 I went to prom in also had the glitter issue. I didn't get it all out for like a year. And I detail a couple times a month. I hate glitter.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Spray and Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer. Neither of which leave the real glossy or greasy feel. And you wo'nt slide off the leather seats.
