redfury wrote:on the subject of bulbs, can I assume that the DIM has bulbs as well? I haven't looked closely at mine, but it doesn't light up at all in my car, and I haven't seen any other pictures of a lit dash that shows the DIM module. If it is lit, then I'd have to assume it has the same surface mount LED's as the steering wheel controls?

Also, I found 12v SMD style LED's with a good spread in multiple colors on ebay for a decent price. They worked really well in my Cluster light replacement. The hardest part was figuring out the polarity of the circuit for each light.
Confused about what you mean by the DIM module. The DIM is a hidden module behind the glove box and is not visible, nor does it have any lights. Are you referring to the Climate Control/HVAC Module/Control Head? Both the manual and automatic control heads use some degree of bulbs. I have pics of both if you need them.

The drivers information module control buttons next to the dash cluster that show mpg, etc.
A temporary fix does not exist. It becomes a solution until it needs to be fixed again.

Ah yes, the DIC (Driver Information Center). Not sure if there is bulbs behind the display or not. I've got disassembled cluster pics but I never took one apart quite that far. Haro is the curious type... He'll know for sure.
