A small update on the project. Managed to get the engine torn apart and well, it didn't look any better after I started cleaning it up :sad5:
I had intentions of replacing the cam anyway, but the stock one is shot, Lifters were thrown out, they all had some serious pitting...guess i need new ones

Chipped Cam Lobes are Bad

Cleaned and bead blasted Manifolds, ported the forward Manifold. Cleaned and bead blasted the front/rear engine covers, and oil filter assembly. Decided that with a 115k on the car, a fresh water pump was in order.

Ported the LIM a bit, but it's going to require some JB weld and sanding where that ugly block of coolant decided to make itself at home.

I had also planned on re-using the stock pistons and rods, but having cleaned them up, I discovered what looks like a chip in one of the pistons.

#2 Piston. Chipped?

It's starting to add up, but I'm determined to get to my goal.
