Keeping my dad's 95 se Bonniville. Replaced things that go bad and recently did a job on struts, brakes, tie rods, and alignment. It started running really rough and smelled like gas or bad smell. Finaly got the check engine light. Wasted money on code reader only to find out it has a 16-pin connecter and won't work. Is my only option a dealer with a T1 or is there a way to get codes? I understand the 95 was a transition period from 12 to 16 for ODB I
Someone please points me in the right direction. Thank You. This club has been very helpful for years. I have alot of respect for all the people helping and have been given good advice. This is the first time the dreaded light has come to play. HELP!!!!!

Re: 1995 Bonn SE code reader 16 pins
I made a cable for my Actron CP9110 like 9 years ago and took these pics. I can't find the original pinout maybe these will help you.

Re: 1995 Bonn SE code reader 16 pins
There are plenty 12 to 16 but no 16 to 12. I bought a reader that says ODB 1.5, which is perfect for my 95 but the car connecter is 16 pins and this device is 12. Why did GM make this so hard. I guess they force you to use dealer with a T-1 machine. Thanks for the reply.

I'm suggesting you buy an OBD2 connector and splice it into your existing code reader cable. The pics are of me more of less doing that.
