Engine/Transmission mounts

Post by leloncio »

Hi folks.

I have to replace all the mounts on the car, but I can't find DELCO parts anymore.
I checked Rockauto and there are several brands of these parts.

What can be a good option (brand) for this?

thanks in advance

Out of curiosity I looked on rock auto, parts geek, ebay, and finally autozone. The only site that had something I even hard of was autozone with Duralast parts.

Thats the problem.

I´ve been searching for DELCOs, but I only find these other brands. I hope someone in the fourm have tried with one of them.

Good possibility the AC Delco discontinued the Transmission mount.
Thanks

For the front transmission mount, they usually fail by pulling apart. What a few have done, including myself, is just drill a hole through it and put a grade 8 or higher bolt with a lock nut in it. I also opted for the earlier 92/93 mount without the strut since it interfered with my headers. By addressing the main failure mode, you don't have to worry as much about the brand quality.
