I'm saying goodbye to my Bonneville this week...

Until Spring!

So today I took it to be detailed. Here's a few shots after it was done. Not the most scenic background but hey, it's all about the car anyway, right?

All you need now is the Window Sticker and the dealer add-ons. It look's like it is ready for the showroom floor. - BC

I thought you had a set of chrome GXP wheels. Are they GP wheels that look like GXP? - BC

Thanks! I desperately tried to find another full set of these mats so I could have a spare set. I did manage to get a rear set but the fronts have been gone for a very long time now.

I still have the original sticker. I should almost stick it in the window and park it at a dealership to see how many people inquire ;)

Thanks, and I am! Winter is not my friend. I'm looking forward to hitting the road with it again. I hardly drove it at all last year. This year I was really able to enjoy it because I got a lot of odds and ends tied up early in the year. Every time I take it out I'm reminded about what nice cars these are to drive.

They are GXP wheels that are painted with some fancy silver paint, I really wish they were chrome though.

It almost looks silver in that lighting.

The chrome wheels really look nice. I would like to find someone in my area I could send mine to.
Very nice!

Thanks! I've been going to this detailing shop for a few years now and they always do a great job. It's a gentleman and his wife working on their acreage. Since it's a small outfit, it isn't all about volume. Prices are quite reasonable and they take the time to do the job properly.

How has the coating on the wheels been holding up? The sure have the appearance of chrome in pictures, but can you tell in person that they are NOT actually chrome plated?

They've been great. It is the same type of clear used on other factory wheels so it's held up well. You can tell close up that they aren't true chrome, but only because there is more of an orange peel like appearance that wasn't there when I had true chrome rims. If it wasn't for that I believe they would be indistinguishable.

your rear driver all weather mat is wrinkled up....

Looks great as always. Mine will be going away (as I haven't driven it in 2 months anyway) here soon for its winter sleep

Yeah, moved the seat back and the mat caught but I didn't notice it in time. Looking closely, the protective plastic seat cover is visible in one of the pics too.
