pic wanted: ride height of SSEi with FE5 GXP struts/springs

I am trying to figure out the front ride height issues on my GXP with L67. I'm not sure if its a difference in engine weigh difference, or the strut mounts I'm using.

If anyone has a pic of how their SSEi sits with FE5 struts/springs please post it.

IIRC Pat had this setup and it sat noticeably higher overall.

The front measurement was 28 and 3/8ths Inches in the front. I Measured from the ground directly thru the center of the hub to the top of the wheel well

It's crazy how much difference an inch and an 1/8 make. How did you lower your car?

What is the OD of your tires Pat? Same as OEM?

Jogging the memory, my GXP ride height was unchanged from OE (at least, visually) when I ran Raybestos Professional Grade mounts and bearings.

As a side note and warning: Unfortunately, they only lasted 9 months and popped again on the current owner. I have a feeling that the new and stiff FE5 struts really do a number on the mounts and some of the aftermarket options can't handle it because they're built for FE1/FE2. In the past, FE5 had a separate mount part number versus FE1/FE2, but they have since been replaced by a third part number common to all suspension grades. My guess is that the new one should be able to handle all that the FE5 setup throws at it.

the Tires on the GXP are 275/40-17. They are .5" smaller than stock.

FYI, I'm currently sitting a hair above 30" up front and 28.5" out back... LOL!

Yikes. Im at about 27.75" in front. Thos springs should arrive Friday, Andrew.

I also went around measuring random Bonn's in my town. 28 1/2 - 28 3/4 most cars, SE's and SLE's. I don't see a lot of SSEi's around. Front and back same measurement, ground through centercap to wheel opening lip.
