The 2015 Michigan Summer meet photos/stories!

I would like to thank everybody for coming out and making this another success!
Track day was fun, literally 10 or 15 cars total at the track so we got to do 3-4 runs back to back before we got rained out. Only 4 of us ran at the track, I raced the Camaro (16.1 @ 88mph).
We had to hide from the rain though at several points during the meet, luckily I have enough floor space between the pole barn and the garage to keep dry.
And I guess I can finally reveal that I've once again got my Bonneville off the jackstands and under it's own power (being very conservative) made it out for this weekends activities.

This year we've started a new tradition. I'd like to thank Wes for taking the lead and pulling through to be able to pull this off.

Great meet. I had an absolute blast. We out fired the rain! Thanks for hosting!

I was a little disappointed with the first two pours, but happy for the brass to at least take form. Definitely a learning experience though regardless, and I could easily see this being a new tradition. I strongly encourage everyone to check some of the free 3D modeling software out there to come up with designs for next year. My favorite, so far is this one, but if anyone knows of, or discovers a better one, feel free to post it as a suggestion.

Anyone who was in attendance who did not get to select a coin just needs to send me a shipping address. I have 8 coins left to choose from. I will try to select the better of the bunch. They are certainly not without defects, but still a cool memento for sure! I look forward to seeing some polishing updates on them.

Im too lazy to post pics but i had a great time and im grateful to matt and leana for hosting us. Lots of beer was consumed(and as i discovered sunday morning cleaning up the driveway, lots was left in the containers) and laughs were had as usual. There was even personal discovery on a level i never expected. But now i know im allergic to cats, so there was even free medical service.

That's Michigan Central Station. Here's an old picture of when it was still in use.


This is the old GM building, known as Cadillac Place today. It houses state of Michigan government offices now.

Well, pictures and possibly video will have to wait until next week. I was going to do them today, but I woke up late, and in my hurry to get to work, I forgot my stuff. I'll have them packed up and ready tonight. Might not get to them over the weekend as I'm going to a birthday party, and not much will probably get done because of that.
