Power mirror issue

Post by ZimGXP »

I have an 05 GXP, and I use the curb view for the passengesr mirror. When I put the car in drive the mirror only comes back half way or not at all. Anybody know What should I be looking for?

The mirror returns to its saved preference based on the memory function. Set your mirrors, seats, radio station and so on to where you want them with the car running in park. Then hold the number 1 or number 2 button on the door panel until it beeps. It should return to your desired position after shifting from reverse to anything else. It sounds to me like it is just not saved into your settings.

It has been working for a couple of years. Guess I can go back and recheck the settings.

After some research that feature is on or off. There doesn't appear to be any settings for it.

I reset the settings just for giggles. The mirror does the same thing. comes up a little and struggles and stops. Manually it goes up and down fine. Guess I can just turn it off or raise it myself every time. Guess if that is my only complaint, I should be glad.

This has been discussed before. I believe it's a problem with the pin behind the mirror that detects the position of the glass.

You probably just didn't get all 4 pins connected.
