Two more on each side started to look crowded. I was kinda thinking 3 rows of red LED strips in those, but I've already exceeded my photoshop skill limit.

I can see that. What about instead of circles, just LED strips in both. It would look sort of like the new BMW light tubes.

I still wonder how this would look on the gxp tails anyone got the skill so I can see what it looks like?

For the 2000+, personally I'd try and illuminate the center tail and leave it be. This might make it look ricey. The GXP tails already look modern and sporty.
