hey everyone last sunday my lss got hit by a guy texting and speeding in an 04 civic and he total'd the old girl as i was turning onto the street where i live if you can believe it. (she kept me safe though!) crumpled the rear quarters trunk floor pan is squished the sub frame well whats left of it is a mess. A close buddy i know who works at a body shop with his dad quoted me a price of 7k and that's if they could find the parts so unfortunately shes going the the junkyard in the sky :( very sad only two days before i did a complete polish to get rid of the swirls and gave her the first coat of dodo juice. from the back doors forward the car still looks perfect it makes me *dang* sad shes gunna be sitting in the yard. i purchased the car 2 and a half years ago with 118km and it got hit at 168km atleast i got some use out of it even though the car defiantly has a ton of life left. so im going to be stripping the car down taking what i can and buying a new 3800 powered car currently looking at a riv and a couple regal gs's since it easier to find those in my area.
It was a very sad day because of all the hours i put into the car and it still drives no issues! other than some serious camber.
anyways be careful out there guys you always think it wont happen to you, then everything changes in a matter of seconds.

Re: LSS gone (accident-total loss)
Ouch, sad to hear that the car is gone, but what's important is that it did it's job well and kept you safe. They always say you're most likely to get in an accident within a few miles of your home, too bad it had to happen to you, but again glad you're safe.
Hopefully you'll be able to find a really nice replacement that will treat you just as well!

Re: LSS gone (accident-total loss)
Hate to see these things happen, but as Joe said, the car did its job and kept you safe. And, hopefully you will find something good that will treat you well for years.
I've been in way too many close calls during my time of driving. No wonder I get nervous around other drivers, and those are just the ones I see.

That really sucks man, but glad you're okay though. It's the basic physics at play in these events which is one reason you'll never get me in a rice box. Bigger wins.

That sucks. Can't do anything due to the circumstances (other driver texting while driving)??

That's awful! LSSs are so rare these days. Sucks to see a nice modded one depart.

Sorry to hear it, glad you're alright. I hope the kid in the Civic learned his lesson, but we all know that's just wishful thinking...
