Thinning the herd...

Post by Hotwheels »

Well, with the arrival of the Avalanche, I'm thinning my herd of extra vehicles as I need the space. Sold my '98 Regal to my cousin today, which should be going tomorrow. I also will be selling the '98 LeSabre as well this coming week, so if anyone needs a decent spare car, I thought I'd put it out there.

Here's the specifics....1998 LeSabre Limited, all options except leather and the Gran Touring suspension/wheel package. Majestic Teal in color (changes color between green & blue) with gray cloth interior. 203k highway miles, but runs and drives fantastic. No squeaks or rattles, everything works. Power everything, power seats both sides, Concert Sound stereo w/ steering wheel controls, compass/temp display, dual zone auto climate control, auto dimming mirrors, etc. Upper plenum has been done once before, plug wires and coils look recent, just replaced the starter.

Cons: rust under the doors on both sides, muffler has a pinhole leak developing, a couple dings & some scratches typical of any car of this age. No warning lights or anything. Looking to get $1650.

GLWS. I literally just bought one myself, minus the two-tone paint.

GLWS. Looks pretty clean and well taken care of sans the rust.

That's a good looking car, and an excellent colour.

A real shame about the rust though. Rust that severe on the rocker panels means it wouldn't pass our 'MOT' inspection over here.

My grandma has one that is nearly exact except for the rust and she absolutely loves it. When my dads brothers and sisters offered to all help pitch in to buy her a newer car since she's getting older and could probably use the extra immenaties, she said that she really liked the car and that she probably wouldn't like the newer car, since she was so used to this one.

Anyway, good luck with sale! Should make someone pretty happy!

Individuals that owned LeSabres on this platform generally hated the Lucerne's. Great car. I think you're asking a fair price - BC
