You want a FWI (Fender Well Intake) from Intense (Intense-racing.com)

Any other intake will suck hot air from under the hood resulting in a loss of power, so the FWI is your best bet.

This is on order for me, as I'm currently running just a gutted air box. Others have fabbed together homebuilt units, but the one step deal was the ticket for me.

Lots of info on the site regarding this, you just need to search it out.

I got a (possibly stupid) question pertaining to these that have been up north: do the super-cold days of deep northern winters get too cold for FWIs? I mean, there's such a drastic change of temperature of 7 degree air (sometimes) and 200 degree engines between 3 feet of tube and filter. There wouldn't be any troubles there? The force-fed air wouldn't be too cold?

You won't have any problem in the extreme cold. It will sound like a jet engine inhaling and crackling for a minute or so, then it will calm down.

Don't do it. People on here have bought it and it takes some serious modifications to work, you are much better off going with the one from Intense.
