driver's door controls.... window, seat memory and door lock

Post by justoyz2 »

Well, went to work, arrived and the drivers door controls wouldn't let any windows down, nor lock the doors or reset the memory seating. Also the windshield wipers wouldn't work.... I checked all fuses.... none blown. I did remove the relay for the windshield wipers, then it worked and now the passenger door window button won't let the passenger window down...

Can this be related to the ground underneath the drivers seat?

Normally when the drivers door functions stop working like that it is a bad window switch module. Not sure for your wipers though, have you ever had any other odd happenings with them?

Nope, no ptoblems at all. I did switch a few relays out. I think that number 30 under the hood is bad. I switched it out with another. It didnt work as well the orignal one. I am hitting the salvage yards today. When it first happened, passenger window still worked on its own. Now that window will not operate at all.

I checked the ground on both lower pillars. No corrosion was found. Is there another location for grounds? My windshield wiper works correctly sometimes, then other times it takes 10 mins for them to work. All fuses are good. My passenger door lock stopped working, but now it works.

Any help would be appreciated

PM harofreak00. He always has a bunch of them. Water getsd into the wiper motor control board and can cause problems with the wipers. See the list of common problems posted under . . http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 25362.html. Haro can also sell you the parts you need to fix this.

Well, checked the ground.....no corrosion at all. The connector was clean. I tested the power leads to the module. There were two leads with power , a large orange wire and a small one and one blue w/white stripe. All were it appears the module is shot
