Possible Ohio Mini-Meet

Since this has been brought up a few times, I thought I make a post to generate some interest.

I would like to know if any members from Ohio (or other states as well), would like to get together for a possible day mini-meet. Nothing too big, probably hanging out and chatting, admiring others' cars, and maybe getting lunch and/or dinner.

Before setting up a date and time (this will more than likely happen sometime this month, June), I would like to know how much interest there is from other members. So, if possible, post if you are interested, and let me know what area of the state you are in (region like NE, or even a city name would be best), and maybe we might get something together.

And by all means, if anyone has any ideas for other things to do (or want to offer more than just a mini-meet), post them, as I would love to hear about it!

I might be up for a meet, I'm in the Akron/Kent area, my job has me on a week to week schedule and I never know what route they will have me run.

Id be coming from over by Pittsburgh, if it was in reasonable driving distance I would do it.

Remember GM Nationals is the 21st, and ill be getting the car ready untill then

So far, it seems most of the interest has people on or east of I-70, except for Matt. The other thing that isn't decided is place. I guess that can be chosen once we get some more interest.

Might have to push the meet back a bit, as I just learned I have to work both on the 22nd and 29th. So, I'm wondering if maybe the 6th of July might work. The weekend of July 13th, I'll (and I'm sure a few others) be at Will's for his birthday, so that will be unavailable.

I'd try and shoot for this weekend (the 15th), but then it seems Matt and Pat wouldn't be able to make it. Also, if it was this weekend, I wouldn't be able to bring my Bonneville, as I kind of disabled it yesterday while trying to install my new stereo equipment.

So, any thoughts on the possible date, and then also a place to meet?

We could always make it for August 1st, and then just do it at Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk Ohio.

There is a raceday, and a showfield, I always show my car every year.....and there is never anyother Bonnevilles

Yeah, we could do Norwalk. That solves the date and place question. My Bonneville isn't show worthy (too many paint blemishes) or race worthy (too much knock), but I love the idea of representing the Bonneville!

So, looks like the Pontiac Nationals would be a good place for a meet in Ohio.

I will be there all weekend, but on Saturday I will be showing the car, from around 9ish untill prolly 5

I would be unable to attend Friday, because of work. But I have no problem with Saturday or Sunday.
