93 SSEi got rear ended - need a bumper cover

Wife got rear ended this morning in our black '93 SSEi. I crawled underneath and all the sheet metal looks undamaged. No trunk or tail light damage. Exhaust tips are broken, but I can weld them up.

I need a rear bumper cover and reflector set.

No luck finding anything so far. We live in Indianapolis.

Those 92-95 sse/i bumpers and lights are getting pretty rare and hard to find in good condition.

Yep - checked there - no luck... Definitely a down side to driving a 20 year old car.

I know I had a 93 parts car a while back and the rear bumper had a crack that had been patched but the guy was so happy to get that bumper even with the crack because he was smashed to heck.

Have you checked ebay? There is usually something on there, although usually costly.

There is one green one - $300 and scuffed up here and there. A few others on there too, but just for standard Bonnevilles.

Why not just let the other person's insurance cover it, or are they going to move to total? If they fix it, then get to find one.

I'm working on a write-up for repairing the covers (waiting on weather to start the job). Mines got a nasty crack. It may be a cheaper alternative.

You could also check in at a good body shop - they might be willing to source good used parts for you?

I haven't had anyone (body shop) look at it yet - I will see what the insurance company says or where they send me. I would like to fix it but there are several places that are rather mangled - beyond what I can probably do and have it look decent.

I live in Kokomo and I visit the Junk yards in Indianapolis quite often. there is a 95 SSE at Pull a part right now. Its the wrong color but the correct style. I was there Tuesday and I will be going again tomorrow (today, Friday) I will post back and let you know if its still there (I think it is) Or I will see you there haha.

Yes - please do - thanks! I have a buddy who just totaled his 95. It was green - then painted sort of a purple with yellow / gold stripes (don't ask). T-boned. I wonder if it could be that car...

Ok, sorry about the delay. Yes the SSE is still there. the rear bumper is all there. there is a minor crack in the right corner that appears repairable def worth checking it out. There is like 7 bonnie's there I didn't get a chance to check them all out because I got called into work while I was there. But it is def still there.

I went today and looked at the gold car - there was a crack and a chunk out of it. So I will keep looking.


Anyone know how the rear bumper cover comes off? Do you get to the attachment hardware through the trunk?

(never mind - figured it out!)
