Long story short I drive my friend to work in East Peoria since his license was resuspended due to a paperwork goof at the S.O.S.

In other news, lucky this car doesn't have a spare tire, just a humongous well for one and a tiny inflator. Gives me a place to keep my tool bag which previously slid around the trunk with every maneuver. Which got really annoying.

I do have an idea for a new vanity plate though, it'll come in due time.

Someday I may switch the "G8" and "GXP" Badges. Since they, like the impressions on the 00+ Bonneville, are in the wrong place. Should be G8 -------------- GXP

Forgot to ask, and maybe you mentioned, any mods for the foreseeable future? Or are you just going to keep this one stock?

It should be known that I can't leave a thing stock. I've already done a couple of easy "free" DIY mods. I have a (small) list of what I'd like to do, all in all way cheaper than what the Bonneville would have needed to keep DD status. The mods will happen over time though, I'm in no rush.

Hey Greg, have you done anything with those large boxes yet?

Good to hear, as I think G8's have too much potential to stay stock. The next big mod for me in my G8 will have something to do with a computer and the built-in screen. Still planning my attack on that one.

And, yes, Will, I have done something with those boxes. Update coming very soon.

By the way if you come to visit and suddenly have GXP axle back exhaust and mine has grown suddenly louder.... It wasn't me!!!

These cars do have a ton of potential, it's cool to have a car that was intended to be modded! Like the gain knob on the sub-amp and stuff like that.

Yeah, these cars are meant to be modded. I still have yet to actually look for that volume gain - I know it's there somewhere, just haven't gotten to it yet. This past winter has kept me very separated from the car.

It takes about ten seconds to find and adjust. The sub-amp is just forward of the battery in the trunk. Knob is on the bottom around the center.

I was wondering if there is a way to get the service records for this car from GM without going to the dealer. I would like to see if this car had the recall for the passenger airbags sensor done as well as the drive by wire throttle software update. Anybody know if there's a way or if I need to go to the dealer and ask?
