supercharger belt

Post by HATNINJA »

I have a 1996 SSEi. Do I have to take the motor mount bracket off to change this belt?! If so what is the best way to attack this? It looks like one of the bolts is behind the power steering pump pulley.

There is a spacer that needs to be removed.

I You pull the splash shield on the passenger side. you will see an 18mm nut( iirc ), you have to remove that, then there is a stud that uses an E10 Torx Socket( again iirc ), once the stud is removed the space can be removed being careful not to harm the Crank sensor or the wires...

When you reinstall what a lot of them do is grind down an edge on the spacer to make it easier to reinstall...

The mount bracket can stay, but the spacer has to be removed... I recommend using Goodyear Gatorback Belts...
