Well I decided to try a quick cleaning of the "burnt" wheel a few days ago. I wasn't TOO concerned it wouldn't clean up well, but I was still a LITTLE nervous about it, as the soot or whatever looked baked on pretty good. For starters, here is the car the wheels came off of.

Here's a close up of the wheel I didn't take.

And here is what I had to start with on the "good" front wheel. I had already started cleaning some of the not so bad spokes, so ignore the shininess. I snapped some pics real quick before attacking the not so good parts.



And this is what the wheel looks like after a good once over with a wad of some Nevr Dull. Even cleaned, they're certainly not perfect, but I'm pleased with my $30 purchase.



So yeah. Never Dull is the best readily available wheel cleaning stuff I've ever used. Have experimented with several others over the years, but have stuck to Nevr Dull for at least a good 8 years or so now. For reference, here's what you're looking for.
