Stuck Brake Lines!

I ave some brake lines that are STUCK and I mean STUCK on the master cylinder. I do not want to replace all the lines. Any suggestions?

PB blaster for a couple days.

Did you let the PB soak for a few days while re applying it a couple times a day?

And Im guessing the fittings are all rounded now that you used the vise grips?

I did let it soak for a couple days. No the fittings are not rounded. We were very careful not to.

As 00Beast mentioned, use a flare wrench. It will give you a better grip with less worry about rounding off the flats. Even these from Harbor Freight would do.

Thats what I have been using, still no luck

It sounds as if you may need something with more leverage. At this point, about the only thing that comes to mind is using a small pipe wrench on the fittings. That will likely end up putting gouges on the flats.

I would just use another wrench on the flare wrench for some more leverage. That way you don't mess up the flats. Be prepared for stuff to break, though...

good idea.. and ya I really don't want to deal with a messed up brake line
