You owe me another beer.

Redline cams and cranks is nearly a legend around here. Then again, my tip didn't buy me much time on your supercharger!
On that note, I just cracked the magnetic plug we installed in the nosedrive a year and a half ago. You just told me via text that you checked it in November. This is the LEAST amount of particles on one that I've seen in the 5 years I've been installing these in my own cars and other members. Well over a dozen at least. Granted, these bearings have already had their initial wear, but in my experience, there's typically 3-5 times as much debris when these are installed on used bearings. This was a good supercharger for the long haul.
Bearings are being replaced regardless. With the magnetic plug, the particles from the initial break-in of the new bearings won't circulate and cause more wear over time. The plan was to have Tyler crack the case (so he could experience the rank smell he doesn't know about), but I promised him when we ran out of time this past weekend that if I tore it down, he'd reassemble it. He's a sponge for new knowledge, and it'll be a good experience for him. I'll probably drain the oil tonight, and MIGHT break it down and start cleaning for porting/bearing removal/coating.
I'll post pics of the debris on the plug a little later.
