Wheel HP is 20% less than crank HP, due to parasitic losses through the transmission. If anything, GM under-rated these engines from the factory. I have never seen a Series I or Series II engine on an engine dyno. No one has ever cared enough to spend the money, from what I can tell.

Madden, we know what we're talking about as well or better than you do. A lot of us live and breathe this stuff.

Madden, you are sadly mistaken in nearly everything you believe. Do you want answers, or do you want to live in a fantasy world?

The advice given is to FIX your car and significantly lower your performance goals. Your goals are entirely unrealistic. Trust me. I have one up on ramps in my driveway right now. And another torn apart right next to it.

If you can't even find the motor mounts, you obviously do not have a service manual, and you should NOT attempt the mods you are talking about. You lack the mechanical know how of how to do what you want to do.

None, there are no performance factors related to the PCV system.

There is no performance to be lost or gained with the PCV valve. Where did you hear that?

On where? You thought? Where did the idea come from? What do you think it will gain?

Better how? You still haven't told us where you heard this. I'm not aware of any breathing issues in the PCV system of ANY car, let alone a Bonneville.

Again, what have you heard? How do you think this will gain you power? How much power do you think it will gain?

You will gain absolutely nothing by removing the PCV system and installing a breather in the valve cover. The only reason to do that is if you intercool your car, and trust me, you aren't ever going to do that.

The PCV system either works or it doesn't. If your valve is bad replace it, if it isn't, don't worry about it.
