the simple questions are the best

Discuss washing, waxing and detailing information as well as interior/exterior cosmetic modifications. This includes neons, body, cosmetic wheels, etc. Even under the hood detailing.

the simple questions are the best

Post by SLEking »

so ive noticed they make absolutely NO aftermarket parts for this car. it perturbs me actually. my camaro had bodykits, hoods, lights, and trillions of other things i could do to it. Are there any aftermarket parts for these cars at all? i mean i can't even find a simple CAI LOL. I have one more question while im still babbling. With my stock 6x9's in my trunk could anyone tell me which wires are positive and negative. i have my amp hooked up right now but i dont want to risk them being hooked up wrong considering the speakers will run either way thank you.

Every engine and transmission mod that is available for the Grand Prix GTP is also available for our SSEi. Check out http://www.zzperformance.com and http://www.Intense-Racing.com ZZPerformance doesn't list the SSEi, but most of the GTP parts will fit it except the headers I believe.

There are no aftermarket body panels available, so anything you want will have to be custom. You can clear your headlights and tail lights, as well as tint the tails. Those are fairly easy mods that add a little more to the cars.

Ahh, didn't catch that you have an SLE... nobody makes any mods for that...

Kidding of course  Both Intense and ZZP make / sell mods for the 3800 NA engine. Most Bonneville owners seem to be more happy with Intense though. There are cams, rockers, heads, ported LIMs, headers, throttle bodies, turbo kits, trans mods, etc... all available for your car.

that makes me happy. im used to driving around my camaro. I just did a 2 thousand thousand rebuild on it. because i blew the head gasket last summer. I redid the whole top end, new tires, new radiator, waterpump, thermostat, pacesetter headers, full 3 inch true dual system going to dual flowmaster race mufflers 3'' inl. 3'' out. All that work and it overheated on me again. i almost cried lmao. Then my fuel pump let out.. The car is an omen. i gave up on it. so i've moved on to this wonderful bonneville my parents sold me. With a bit of TLC the inside looks very appealing. Put the aftermarket Head unit in with some amps and my forever loved rockford fosgate p3's. this car is awesome now. i love my bonne lol. I was wondering though if i can fast mount a supercharger on this car. i dont know much at all about this 3800 yet so.. From what i've read i need an entire L67 upgrade kit.

The short answer is that yes, you can put a supercharger on your car. The long answer is that you will need much more then the S/C to make it work, and the end result will be more work then an entire drivetrain swap.

In all honesty, if you want a supercharger, there are really only two ways I would go about it. #1 - buy an engine / trans / wiring etc.. from a wrecked car with low miles, swap that in in place of yours, and sell your drivetrain to make up some of the difference. #2 - sell your car and buy a supercharged car and get the suspension to go with it.

There is always the option of a turbo, but that would also take a lot of tuning, and also just as much money, if not more.

Well you could start putting the thought in your head and start saving to buy a G8 V-8 "my next car"rear wheel drive and airbags and room for you and your crew. You might even get one through a dealer with a warranty "through a GM dealer" A Nice everyday car you can drivehard and will turn heads /Lots of Performance Stuff Headers etc or How about a used GTO they are around 15,000 now Future collector cars I think so!!!!I wish they would have brought the G8 El Camino to light but the fire ran out on this idea to soon.Aloha
