And, in addition to that, some 10w-40 wouldn't hurt to buy a little time as well. Definitely don't go any higher than that, but a heavier oil should help slightly.

ya it actually does when i am going to school it dont start moven till it hits about 180 degrees roughly

We ran 20W-50 in our old high-mileage 1988 Grand Prix SE (2.8L V6), and that kept it limping along for maybe 5 years before it blew a head gasket. (It was genuinely low oil pressure when idling, the engine was very worn out.)

It all just depends on how it was used/abused. My car has around 160K on it, and it's still like it's brand new. But other cars can be trashed by 160K if not properly cared for and maintained.

Um,did you read the post where I said just change the oil filter?Its alot cheaper then all the other stuff.

If your oil pressure gauge is bouncing up and down in idle first change the oil. Make sure you examine the oil check for coolant also use a magnet to check for metal shavings. This indicates a major problem most of the time anything from a blown oil ring to blown head gasket or possibly a sticking valve

all those dont seem that bad i mean perhapas the sticking valve but other then that the valve cover casket aint bad i already changed that
