Not sure if this is the right area

Post by Marshall2469 »

I wrecked my 95 bonne last Saturday :angry7: and am trying to figure out how to pull the front bumper out (I crumpled the passenger side) I was gonna hook chains to a tree and try that, then I realized the bumper is fiber glass or something its non magnetic. does anyone have any Ideas how to straighten it?? and does anyone know where to go to get both front quarter panels the and bumper cover.

Front bumper....the cover is urethane, the impact bar is fiberglass. No straightening either of those out.

Are you meaning the fenders?

If so...3 bolts on the top, two underneath, 1 inside at the very top of the frame, two inside by the door hinge, and an attachment point up front. In order to get to the inside nuts and bolts, you have to take off the splash shield.

The front fenders were plastic and then GM changed to metal fenders, I want to say in '96, might have been earlier. But you'll probably have to replace them.

Try local junk yards or Craigs list, they will probably be your best bet for body panels. Trim level and years between '92-'99 won't matter (SE, SLE, SSE, or SSEi) for the fenders and hood, it's all the same. The bumper cover and reinforcement will have to come from a '92-'95 SSE or SSEi though. Actually, you'd probably want a '95 bumper cover, since '92-'94 had holes for the headlight washers.

Thanks guys, I am sending the pics to my pc and will upload them shortly, kinda a odd question but is it a normal characteristic of a 95 to be a little to light in the rear? almost feels bouncy?

Hate saying it, but it's a total loss. Take a look at that bumper support and impact strut. It's *dang* near vertical....no way of getting that back to the proper orientation.

The unibody is bent about a foot or so back. It's a loss. There's no straightening that outside a body shop. That I know of...

Best of luck with it!

I agree, cut your losses and start looking for another car. That one isn't worth the money that will be required to fix it.
