That's not a leaking car, just one that's been washed and sitting to drip dry.
Most of it's life has been spent in a garage but now I need to build some sort of lean-to to keep some of the sun & snow off of it. I do like the s/c 3800, I wonder if I could swap it for the 3.4 in the Venture van....

Looks great, making me really miss the days my park ave was in good shape. And it is getting more and more rare to find ones with out the rocker panels rotting away. garage storage helped that michigan car for sure.

Looks IDENTICAL to the 1992 PAU and 1993 PAU my parents used to have.
Their 1992 had grey interior and the 1993 had the dark blue interior.
One of the spare cars now is a 1994 PAU which I've been running around in the past couple days since it needed some work and I've been fixing it up. Thursday when I took it to get inspected so we could get tabs it turned over 101,000 miles.
Today I drove it to Mall Of America and back. Runs great, but I'm getting a QDM1 faulty code which sets off the P0171 oxygen sensor code.

I have to say it's a much cushier ride than the GTP, and the SSEi is almost as soft since it has the softest spring rate ever put on a SSEi.

Ironically enough we bought it from the former varsity basketball coach at our school who is now a principal for another school district. I actually played basketball against him a few years ago. My son who really wants to make the school basketball team will be driving this car. So the interior smells like basketball leather and will continue to do so. (at least until cross country season---then I don't even want to imagine the smell inside.)
I did take the advice of the members here and had a few things replaced;
front strut kit, rear struts, fiuel pump & sending unit, O2 sensor, inner tie rods, LIM gasket.
Should be good for another 100K.

Not sure if 93 was as problematic as 92, but if so, the baffles in the tank like to come loose and when fuel gets low, or going around corners can suffocate the pump and make you think the pump is dying, which it will if this happens for too long and too often. I'm not sure if 96+ Bonneville fuel tanks are the same as 92-94/95 but if you run into the baffles problem keep the 96+ tanks in mind as they don't have that problem.

I am beginning to wonder as I have the issue you described below 3/8th of a tank.

That is a very nice looking car though. Any interior shots?

It's a '97 Mustang Saleen convertible with a SVO S/C added once it fell into private life. It started it's life as a rental car and since it was sold from the Budget Rent a Car lot a few things have been added.
With the addition of the PAU I now have two blue cars with supercharged engines, both with about 100K on them. My money is on the Buick engine to hold together to 200 K.

Should post an engine shot from the PAU here, and some more outside shots of the Saleen in Your Other Rides.

Just testing. You guys passed! I'll get a motor shot in about a week. Not only did I work overtime today I also have something going on with one or both kids every night this week and the local hometown festival begins this week so I have to remember when trying to get through town this week...that I can't!

The engine compartment is pretty clean for a car with over 100K. I hope it stays that way.

It will only stay that way if you keep it clean. After every wash, pop the hood get a towel and some all purpose cleaner, spray and wipe. Wax the paint and put protectant on the plastic and hoses.

What works best on the plastic to make it easier to clean? Does Armor All bake off with the underhood heat?

Do not use Armor All ever on anything.

I personally use Vinylex made by Lexol. It comes it a blue bottle. I use this because it is the only product I found that actually protects your interior from the suns rays. Our vinyl GM interiors are very sensitive to the sun. Vinylex will bring that deep color back to your interior and soften it up to prevent dreaded cracking of dashboards and stressed areas of your door panels.

"Vinylex works wonders on tires, trim, tonneau covers, interiors, dashboards and vinyl tops too. With DH-60 UV sunscreen to block color-fading ultra-violet rays, Vinylex Protectant keeps surfaces looking original and smelling like new!"

I use it on my interior (natural shine and feel), under hood plastic (will withstand the heat), and as a natural looking tire shine. No sling, no mess. After properly cleaning your tires with whestleys bleach white or equivalent this stuff makes your tires look new.

http://www.lexol.com/vinylex.html

I only have to use this stuff when everything starts looking dull again, which is months later. In between applications I just use a dry clean microfiber and wipe down to get the dust off.

I know it sounds like I am a promoter for Vinylex but I am just a satisfied customer. I am a hard guy to please but this stuff does it for me!

Looking at that unde rhood pic again, just spray some all purpose cleaner on the engine cover and coolant tank and wipe it down it should come clean and look new.
