All Clean For The Summer... Super Clean

Post by Wellintr »

Used Clay Bar Kit from Meguiars, Cleaner Wax, and Meguiars wheel cleaner. Any body else with white cars have that brake dust problem where it rusts into tiny specks on your clear coat? Just wondering. Have not had a chance to get to the engine bay yet.

Great looking car! I like the chrome and white, looks really clean and a welcome change to all the chromed out black cars you see anymore.

Looks amazing! And yes, I have found the rust specs along the sides of the car as well. Just easier to see on a white car. Both of mine need a claybar and wax/polish badly.

But again, looks great!

Very nice, good job :beerchug:

As far as the brake dust spots go, that is on every color, just easier to see on white. We have it on our black '03 as well.

Would be nice to see that at the Michigan meet this year

Yeah, I get the rust specks (i think its called rail dust) all over my car too. Easiest thing to get rid of them is actually using liquid glass or nu finish. For some reason it requires a lot less work to get the specks off with the polish rather than the clay bar...

but I LOVE a clean white car with chrome almost as much as I love a clean black car with chrome.

I am not satisfied with the lighting conditions which were rather harsh, after I finish the engine bay I will post better pics lower lighting, later in the day maybe, any thing but high noon...

Nice looking ride ya got there, white bonnies rule

another rail dust victim here, mine builds up mostly on the rear bumper/trunck area.

hey, when you get to the engine bay, remove the overflow tank and use simple green to wash out the inside. it will look like new again.

I get the rail dust on the back bumper and trunk of my car, too. I'm hoping if I wax it it will help decrease it.
