"Security" Light

The "Security" on my dash came on tonite.
Doesnt blink at all, just comes on and stays on. Car starts/drives normally.
Havent checked anything yet due to the bad weather. Any ideas???

Most common cause would be a failing ignition lock cylinder. The pelet sensor wires like to break after thousands of lock cylinder rotations. The wires break too close to the cylinder to repair them so you have to get a new cylinder. You can bypass the system for under $5 with supplies from radio shack and a couple hour of work.

The other possibility is the security switch for the trunk lid. Try unplugging it & see if the light goes out.
