The 03 has been replaced...

Post by gigolo »

as the winter vehicle that is as of tonight I am now the owner of a 93 s10 blazer in need of tires and a better battery and a few other little odds and ends but nothing major. if you thought our exhaust i would say the blazer's is about the same or so.

the good has a newer 95 or 96 4.3 vortec motor in it with only 40 k on it, new rad and WP
the frame and all the normal rust spots are solid and free of rust, it is 4wd, it is leather buckets, rear end recently serviced and new bearings

the not so good : needs new cruise control cable, potentially a new ecu (it has a weird issue when it is heatsoaked) door handle needs attn or a good cleaning and lubing, the motor leaks a little bit of oil, the trans has a small leak(bad gasket?) short in the wire to the radio when you hit a decent bump it will kill itself, just hit the dash and it comes back, needs new rubber all around, and a better battery I guess it is temperamental like a woman. brakes should prolly be done and fuel filter and plugs just so I know it was done. the last little thing is that the push button 4wd isnt quite syncronized or whatever i am sure that is a little cheap fix too. I will prolly drop to a slightly cooler stat it seemed happier when it was running just a touch over 185 to 190 vs the 200+ when it was hot.

overall not too bad for the 595 total I have invested in gas for the trip down in amanda's car and the $30 in gas I put in the blazer

In closing now i have something so that the donor setup for the 99 can go into it too. i will be weird having so many of the cars up at once lol.

Nice choice. I love having my blazer as a winter car, gets the job done well. Sadly I think my old girl is dying on me
