Spent yesterday getting the winter grime off and cleaning it up. I took off the N67 stock rims that I kept for the Michelin X-ice X2s winter tires and put the chrome 20 spokes and the Goodyears back on. It's got a wood dash kit and an MP3 jack I installed inside. There's an Intense FWI and PCM under the hood, along with NGK TR55s It's now at 59,240 miles. I've got chrome valve stem caps as well! It weathered the winter pretty well.
Looks amazing! Very reflective with a deep gloss as well
If you don't mind my asking, what was the process and products used?

I clayed it first with a Zaino claybar I had on the shelf in the garage. I then buffed it using Menzerna Intensive and a yellow Lake Country cutting pad. I then put a white Lake Country pad on the Portal Cable and used Menzerna's Final Polish. I washed it with dawn after each step, hand drying it with micro fibers. I then hand applied two coats of Meguiar's NXT. I thought about using the Zaino on the shelf, but the NXT is less hassle, with comparable results. I'm saving the Zaino for my wife's TL, but I've been pretty happy using the NXT the past few years.
Menzerna FTW!! Great stuff, that is what I use also Seems a lot of people are very impressed with the NXT, I haven't tried it yet, but might pick some up this summer.

Man, that looks great!!! I love the 05 SLE and GXP styling. Those 20 spokers also look great on that car.
Bye Bye: RIP sandrock

How come 2 coats of NXT? just wondering...put one coat on 2 weeks ago after i clayed. Looks and feels fine. Im guessing just making the wax last longer??

Two coats of any wax or sealant will help it last longer as you said, but will also help to make sure that there is an even coat over every single inch of paint.
