I have a 2003 sle. About a week ago I put a shift kit in due to a slight slip. Everything there worked out great. Shortly after my airbag light would occasionally flash. Then a few days later my power locks would quit working sometimes. Then finally the other day the gauge panel was dead. I shut off the car and tried to restart it and the key wouldn’t start the car. My buddy showed up with his trailer. In the process of pulling the car on the power locks tripped off. I turned the key and the car started right up. Without gauges I drove it home and let it run for 20 minutes. Shut it off and now it won’t start. Sometimes when I try to start it the alarm will go off. I have no interior lights and the windows and locks do not work. The power seats work. It has had an aftermarket radio in it for well over 4 months. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Or is there already a page for this I’m not seeing? I’m new here and just want to drive my car again...any help is greatly appreciated. Hate having it sit always loved these cars. |

Sounds like you may have a loose ground somewhere. |

I'd suggest checking power and ground around the main connections. Check battery condition, the connections on the battery, remove the cable from the negative battery terminal at the floor pan. Clean up any rust or corrosion. Also, check the power cable at the underhood fuse block. |
