Re: Is my A/C done for?
Well I tried putting refrigerant in and the knocking/clicking started immediately, I think I'll just have to take it to the shop :(

It'll only do that in the first couple of mins when I engage the A/C.

Re: Is my A/C done for?
Sounds more like a knock to me but I can be mistaken... Well it'll click or knock for a min or so and then stop doing it eventually

Re: I am beginning to not like my car
JB, I get the same exact noise ever since I put in a new Power Steering pump in it however my steering is fine just makes that whining noise you hear.

Re: how do you put belts on?
Wow, forgot to reply and say it ended up being the Water Pump. There was a lot of play on the water pump pulley, bought a new one from Autozone for $40 had to take off 2 pulleys and then replace the water pump, going to do a coolant flush when i can get around it.

Re: how do you put belts on?
When I start the car it makes an awfully loud noise and it's hard to describe maybe a intermittent suction noise, would be the best description.

Re: how do you put belts on?
I think I was able to find the hose that is causing the spraying of coolant I hope, what is the hose in these pictures? In particular the 3rd picture, it seems to have coolant pooled in it and how the area is sprayed might be spraying upwards towards the pulleys, onto the belts, etc...

Re: how do you put belts on?
Time to get my hands dirty this early morning... Luckily I have today and tomorrow off from work so I hope I can work on her all day, I'll check out the hoses and see what's up.
Are these places easy to get too or would I have to start dismantling a few things to get to them?

Re: how do you put belts on?
Well it's confirmed it seems to be coolant all over around the pulley area and deeper, overfill tank is near empty however my radiator is full of coolant still is that odd or normal?

Re: how do you put belts on?
Thanks for the diagram!
I checked all my fluids and all seem to be fine. It's a really thick black grease and doesn't smell like engine oil at all and I checked my engine oil seems to be fine, but totally agree I definitely need to find out what ruptured and sprayed it all over, it's all over the ...

how do you put belts on?
Weird problem and story... I was driving on the highway about 80mph and boom lose power steering, lights dimmed, message Check Charge System, and then my car overheated insanely hitting 280 degrees. I immediately pull over and pop the hood and my BELT came off?! A bunch of black grease or black ...

I also have this on my car, it's on both the passenger and driver door handles i can feel a very small draft of air when driving, friend of mine pointed this out to me when he was driving with me, doesn't bug me though so i don't care really, it is peculiar though.

Re: my mod poll
Definitely start with the FWI to get the ball rolling, in my opinion. I haven't even gotten around to it yet still doing preventative maintenance and repairs on my ride at the moment, but that will definitely be the first thing I start off with or the Intense Perf Package 1 or 2.

Re: annoying loud whining noise from engine bay
Is it RPM or speed related? You may need to remove one belt at a time and drive a short distance to help narrow it down. Idler pulley bearing failure is quite common.
I did change the PCV Valve myself and put a new O ring so I know it's not that but I'll check it out tonight.

annoying loud whining noise from engine bay
It's really loud, annoying and bothering me...
Right when I start the car it happens, at idle it'll whine when i accelerate it'll get louder.
Car runs just fine it's just that *dang* whine! Was happening before the transmission was rebuilt and still after.
Things I need to fix is the Oil Pressure ...
