Re: 97 L67 nylon fuel line crack by engine

Used a 90 degree Dorman push fit connector and also a new piece of nylon line with the connector to the fuel rail on it and it's all fixed now.

97 L67 nylon fuel line crack by engine

https://i.imgur.com/MYf8QMz.jpg

One of the nylon fuel lines has a crack in it and is leaking fuel. The yellow circle in the picture shows the area where the crack is, it is right where the two lines make a turn and the crack is right in the middle of the turn. It is pretty close to where the ...

1992 SSEi turns over slow

Turns over slow, mostly noticeable on a cold start. If engine is already warm, the turn over speed is pretty close to normal. Engine always fires up right away, it just turns over slower than normal. Battery is good and I replaced the starter to see if that would fix the issue but it did not. I am ...

Re: 1992 SSEi ses light sometimes and reduced engine power

Today I checked the resistance with a multimeter on the boost control solenoid, it measured one ohm so I am thinking it is no good. Is the one in the link below the one I need?

Re: 1992 SSEi ses light sometimes and reduced engine power

I'm leaning toward the boost control solenoid. I did take note of the boost gauge when the car feels non boosted under full throttle and sure enough the gauge is just slightly above 0, where as normally the gauge goes way over to the right. The issue is intermittent.

Re: 1992 SSEi ses light sometimes and reduced engine power

Just checked the stored codes, they are 56 and 58. Looks like 56 is Quad-Driver " B " Fault and 58 is PASS-Key Fuel Enable Circuit. I should add that the i took the car in a couple weeks ago to get the alignment checked. Immediately after leaving the alignment place is when the ses light started to ...

1992 SSEi ses light and reduced engine power - solved

I have a 92 SSEi and I first realized something wasn't quite right when I would for example be under full throttle in 2nd gear and noticed varying engine power, not hugely noticeable but noticeable. Then that problem seemed to clear itself up and it was running normally for a the last few weeks. But ...

Re: My 96' SE (Supercharged)

That is a very neat Bonneville! I also have a supercharged SLE, I've had mine for 15 years. It was only possible to order the supercharged engine in and SLE for 1995, 1996, and 1997 so it's cool to see one since not many of them were built this way. Yours also looks to have just about every option ...

Re: Crude photoshop, but looking for opinions

Since you have the higher gearing, and since the stock 16 inch size for a 99 LeSabre is 215/60/16, I'm thinking 235/60/16 might be a little tall. I may be wrong but I think the taller you go with a tire, acceleration goes down. In my opinion I would not go any taller than a 225/60/16 in this ...

Re: Crude photoshop, but looking for opinions

I like the look of the stock color LSS wheels on the LeSabre. Does your car have the 2.84 or the 3.06 final drive ratio?

Re: My Old Girl Friend

I have no garage and three vehicles. Apparently I have a passion for cars, even if I don't have a place for them at my house LOL. Currently I'm renting two storage units, one for the Bonneville, the other for my Grand Prix, and I drive the Oldsmobile for the winter.

It would be incredible to find any 92 Bonneville in Wisconsin that is rust free, running or not.

Re: Is my SE really an SLE?

98+ were the only ones badged as SLE, 93-97 had no SLE badges, 93-95 SLE's always looked different then the SE because 93 SLE had the different grill than the SE and 94/95 SLE had the blacked out chrome trim. On the other hand a 96/97 SLE looks no different from a 96/97 SE on the exterior.

For a 93 ...

How much did it cost to have the headliner redone, if you don't mind me asking, my 89 Olds need the headliner redone.

93 LeSabre, the cruise doesn't work at all, any ideas where to start? There is a fuse for the cruise right? If so where is the fuse located?

Re: how do YOU close your hood

Depends on the car. Looking just at 92-99, the 92-95 Bonnevilles had very rigid mounts on the grills and you can let it drop without issues, for the most part this is also true for the 96-99 sse grill. But if you drop the hood shut on a 96-99 SE grill you will eventually bust the outer two mounts ...

Re: Don't see many 87 SE's doing this..... let alone any at

I just thought it's super ironic that you never see an 87 SE on the road and then there's this random rust free one on this video, totally out the blue lol. Maybe in the south there's some of these cars around, but I never see any in Wisconsin. And it's the same color combo as the ones used in ...
