Hey guys, I've been off line a very long time so take my advice for what it's worth. Anyhow, here goes:
While I think that it's probably time for you to replace that lower intake gasket, do not forget to verify that your coolant isn't leaking fom somewhere else instead/too/also. A few things to ...

Wide Track Warriors Club Orlando, Annual Car Show, Feb 19th
Like the title says. I just found out about this today. It might be a good excuse to get a couple of us together for food, drink and some great Pontiacs! What do you think?

Re: chiltons or haynes
My search didn't turn up any available Chilton's or Haynes manuals for that year Bonneville. That doesn't mean they don't exist, just that I didn't find any.
I did find a copy of the original shop manual on CD here if you're interested. The last one on the page looks like it might be what you want.

Jerry, you've had plenty of great use from that Bonny and now it will go to someone who is willing to keep it going. You can't do much better than that, IMO.

That is an awesome car! There are definitely some people here that will be interested in helping you get this back on the road. The rest of us who may not have the expertise you'll need will enjoy following the build. Certainly start some threads with pictures as you do the work. I know that I, for ...

Nice clean find there, John! I like it! That is one advantage to living in Florida, where there are often nice clean, rust free cars with low miles to be had from the dearly retired bluehairs.

Re: cat. converter
That is your O2 sensor, the one before the converter. Replace it.
Also, whether or not your state has inspections, it is illegal to remove and not replace your cat. converter.
You can get great sound from that car without removing it.

Re: HELP PLEASE!!!
If the mechanics do or have done all we mentioned already and there are still issues, please do not give up. There are more things that can be addresses. As I mentioned, it's possible...likely even... that there is more than one thing wrong. Make sure that all of the above items have been completely ...

Re: HELP PLEASE!!!
Manda, it does sound like you may have more than one issue going on, especially since it has 150K on it. The first two things that you or your mechanics should check are as mentioned above by Jerry.
1) The battery cable itself can get corroded under the insulation and this can cause all kinds of ...

A Ciera with the iron duke was our family car for 10 years and then the kids' first car. Not much power to speak of, but it just kept on working year after year.

Welcome to Bonneville ownership and to Pontiac Bonneville Club!!
I spent Thanksgiving up near your area while visiting my daughter and her family, who've just moved to SC. Low country!

Re: DAMMIT!!!!!!
I don't know. It looks to me that both the front of the right fender and the hood might require painting after they are returned to the proper shape, but then, I'm not a body shop expert at all. I do know that I would not want that damage, however small, to remain there if it can be covered by ...

Re: Lug nut caps/lug nut covers??
After spending years replacing a couple cracked chrome plastic lugnut covers every time I touched the tires, I finally put on the inexpensive chrome steel lugnuts I picked up on ebay...just a couple weeks ago when I redid the struts and shocks.
Even if these rust after a couple/few years, they were ...

I know, I know...I live in Florida, so what do I know? :)

It almost sounds like the coolant elbow is leaking, but we need the OP to verify by photo or other.
