Re: torque converter solenoid
Very possible that this is your problem! Usually a check engine light with a code pertaining to a shift solenoid problem goes along with this. Do you have a check engine light? If so, what is the code?

Re: Easier to pull engine AND transmission-only engine or tr
Yes, engine alone! Much easier if you don’t have a hoist. Otherwise you would remove the transmission to access! No suggestions for gaskets other than quality, as you don’t want to do the job again.

Re: Can't figure this out...
Some thoughts. Have you double checked your coolant level? Possibly skewed cts? The ecm needs to see determined temperature in a set time frame, if not monitors won’t run.

Have you checked the pulley alignment? Looking at the first video, the alternator looks to be slanted foreword. Maybe optical illusion. At any rate check for alignment.

Before doing anything else, you should put a gauge on it to verify any problems as the sensor could be wrong.

Re: 94 L27 overheat: EGR path blocked ? or water pump impell
From what I am reading, your radiator isn't overflowing at any point. The 225 temperature you see is normal in most cars, as that is when the coolant fan is commanded by the engine control module to turn on. The fan will turn off once coolant temp. reaches 200. The fans will continue to cycle on and ...

Re: 2000 Bonnie SE stalling issues
Although there is nothing in the repair manual indicating a p0463 causing stalling or hard starting I have found other sites saying this is an issue caused by a faulty sending unit. Not sure I understand why. I would at least replace the fuel sending unit but if you have the original fuel pump ...

G101 is on the rear of the engine block near the oil pressure switch. G106 is in the left front of the engine compartment near the air cleaner.

Re: Output Driver what exactly does it mean
I don't know what is normal data on a tech2 but I wonder if you might have a fuel pump relay that is on it's way out. With the car running measure the current on the control (ground) circuit of fuel pump relay for a couple of minutes. It should be less than an amp. if it is over an amp replacing the ...

Re: 99 bonneville no power to fuel pump
Now you need to determine if you are losing power or ground at the pump. With your test light, from a power source, check the black wire at the pump to make sure your ground is good. If so, using the test light from a good ground, check the gray wire for power.

Re: 99 bonneville no power to fuel pump
When checking for power at the fuel pump connector, you must do so as soon as ignition switch is turned on on as it only will have power for 2 seconds. If so, you have a bad fuel pump. I am guessing that you installed a after market pump. Myself, I prefer original equipment. If you find that it is ...
