Re: wiring rear defroster to remote start?
I don't know 100% for your year, but I looked into this a little before for mine, just never got around to doing anything. I'm pretty sure that you should be able to find a wire to hit somewhere behind the dash. You would connect a spare channel output from your alarm to this wire. When you activate ...

Re: There's a rain stick in my dashboard!
I saw this suggestion on another post a while back. I know you said it's not coming from the HVAC area, but worth a shot, sometimes sound reflections can play tricks.
Next time you're at a light and hear the rain stick sound, turn your temp control knob a couple clicks. With mine all the way hot or ...

Re: Headlight restoration without tools, installed pics post
I finally got around to doing this on my car, and I remembered to take pics this time. Driver's side wasn't too bad, it was replaced a couple of years ago, but had started to discolor (top of the lens in the 3rd pic). I used 400, 1000, 1500, and 2000. I did both at the same time, and it took a ...

Re: Headlight restoration without tools, installed pics post
It's not just ours though, I've seen a ton of cars with yellow/hazy headlights. My sister-in-law's were so bad, I don't see how any light got through.

Re: Headlight restoration without tools, installed pics post
Did this to my wife's Saturn Vue this past weekend. I was so excited to try it that I forgot to take pictures. I can't tell you how much time I've spent wet sanding headlights, different brands of headlight restoration kits, etc...
It took me right around an hour for both headlights, and that ...

Re: Oil Pressure
Sorry to intrude, but what should the "normal" pressure be? I assume it would change a bit with different oil weights, and maybe with temperature too, but i was curious.
I'm loosing a little bit of oil somewhere that I can't find, and depending on whether or not my pressure is high, maybe I found ...

Guage Problems
Have any of you guys/girls had issues with the gauges pointing the wrong direction? About 6 months or so ago, my temp gauge was pointing all the way to the red line. I was able to figure out that the needle was in the wrong position by turning off the car. The resting point was straight up and down ...

Re: Tansmission starting to act up a bit
Sorry, I guess that would help a bit. 66,727 as it sits in my garage right now. I'll also add that I purchased it at around 28,000, and at least since I've had it, the trans fluid/filter has not been changed or flushed.

Transmission starting to act up a bit
Today I started noticing my car was shifting a lot harder than normal. I left work and it was fine. About half way home (apr. 7 mile total trip 1 way) it started shifting hard from 1-2 and 2-3.

If the torque sticks are the colored stick about 6in long or so with a 'socket' on one end, they had a set hanging on the wall, covered in dust.

Re: Need to replace some wheel studs...
I might have been able to do it without taking the axle nut off, now that I've seen what all is in there. I did have to loosen the hub from the support that it's attached to, I needed just a 1/4" or less more room to angle the stud out and to get the new one in. All in all, it was fairly easy. Only ...

Re: FM modulator- do I need anything else?
IDK about your particular car, but for my 2005 SE, I had to get 2 antenna adapters, one that connects to the back of the radio, and on that will connect to the antenna lead. They are not standard sizes on this one.

Well the switch arrived in the mail yesterday, but I didn't get off work until late. So first thing this morning I swapped the pcb into my unit and everything is good to go now. Thanks again for selling me the switch, and for all you guys' help.

Re: Power Windows Stopped Working
Sweet! Taking it apart is not that hard, I took mine apart, down to the pcb, just to confirm my suspicion of water damage. Thanks again for your assistance.
