wiring rear defroster to remote start?

wiring rear defroster to remote start?

Is there anyway i can wire my rear defroster to my romote start? This is aftermarket remote start on my 95

I don't know 100% for your year, but I looked into this a little before for mine, just never got around to doing anything. I'm pretty sure that you should be able to find a wire to hit somewhere behind the dash. You would connect a spare channel output from your alarm to this wire. When you activate that channel via your remote, it will send a momentary ground to the circuit that activates the defroster. The output from the alarm is usually a low voltage signal, so that should be all you need to do.

Most (if not all) all aftermarket alarms have at least one additional channel for something like this.
