Re: Is 10-11 MPG even possible?!?!?!?

well how long do let it warm up in the winter? also do you drive slower due to weather(I.E. do 35 in a 55)? those two reasons equate to the poor milage we northern states have in the winter months

Re: Factory CD players

i believe the 96+ bonnies had the changer option too. as i know that my 96 has the changer port on the back and the same button layout on the front.

IIRC when you plug a changer in the port in back the 1,2 buttons dont work for track changing but instead become CD advancement (from cd1 to cd2 etc ...

Re: Pulled Codes today

yes i its called a cam shaft interruptor. and its only bout 3-5 dollars unless that went up in the past 7 years since i did it in my 92.

i recommend the JB weld technique over removing the whole front cover. it is much more permanent for one... meaning no decay of the plastic shell causing the ...

Re: "Stuffing" a NorthStar

on a side note if you want to upgrade to a large displacement V8 why not look at the grand prix GXP motor? get the 5.3 bolted to that 4T80E and shoe horn that in there. at least the 5.3 is a desendent of the LS motors found in vettes, and camaros so LS parts do bolt on to it. meaning better "motor ...

Re: Pulled Codes today

honestly the likely hood of your code 41 equaling a bad sensor or magnet is slim cause i am assuming the car runs, and usually when these sensors go bad or the magnet is missing your car will run like a bag of dog poop or not run at all.

i second the motion stick with your 3800 the mods are plentiful and getting rid of that intoxicating whine is a cardinal sin.

for the reading impaired getting rid or a turbo or supercharged car= :bash: -> :bdead:

Re: please reply , so my bonne can fly!

stay away from SLR (ebay chips) as mentioned above they are nothing more than a fancy resistor that makes your car think it is pulling in colder air. also mentioned above the intial affects are short lived as the O2 sensor learns the mix is off then compinsates. so save yourself the headache and ...

Re: How do I get more "instant" power from my GTP?

tuning is the easiest way to quiken shifts. you can also controll how much throttle is needed to downshift and line pressure and much more. hell tuning can also can tweak your motor for a few more ponies. in todays cars the quickest and easiest way to "squeeze a little more juice out of the lemon ...

Re: update on my engine issues...

on stock internals i have never heard of bent valves only logical thing i can think of is valve locks failing and floating the valve (valve floats then piston hits it). only problem is that your not exactly sure why it is not seating. is there to much carbon build-up causing it to not seat? is it ...

Re: Transmission 4T60E Rough Shifts??

now some one correct me if i am wrong but i have noticed that regaurdless of aspirations that the 4T60E in my old 92 SE and the comparable HD version trans in my 96 all stutter in a sense at that range. reason i figured out through techII scanners and my DHP scanner on my 96 is that our TC kicks in ...

Re: HO Alternator Question

Either way it didn't fix my voltage going up and down between 14 and 16.

honestly the amperage output on the alternator is not going to increase your voltage. once you install the full system in the car you will notice the voltmeter bounce from 14-16 down to 10.5-12... this is all variable as to ...
