Re: Bad PCM or ICM?

The exhaust is clear; it just shoots out at a high velocity.
When I pressed the schrader valve on the fuel rail, fuel sprayed out.

The fluid on my spark plugs smelled like gas. I took them out and cleaned them off, put them back in, cranked the engine some more and then removed the spark plugs ...

Re: Bad PCM or ICM?

I checked the ground buses on the driver and passenger side; they were both clean. While the car was running I unplugged the MAF sensor, and it died. I can not get the car started now.

Re: Bad PCM or ICM?

I pulled my PCM only to find that it is a remanufactured unit. I got another reman anyway, and replaced it. It still ran exactly the same. Is it possible that the PROM is bad?

Re: Bad PCM or ICM?

If I get a remanufactured PCM, do I need to keep the PROM from the old one or will the reman come with it?

Bad PCM or ICM?

I was driving my car yesterday, and out of nowhere, it lost all of its power. I had to go wide open throttle just to keep moving and it still barely kept going. When I got back, I decided to pop the hood. I checked each injector to ensure that they were pulsing, each one was. I knew that the ignition ...

Re: Solid Camshaft?

A cam would put willwren in the mid-low 13's, tops. That would beat most of the cars on this forum, but A.) Bill is never gonna do that, and B.) that wouldn't move him down the list much.

To the OP: The series I is a good engine, and has benefits that the Series II doesn't. Bill chooses to run ...

Re: Solid Camshaft?

Having to adjust the rockers would be a PITA, but the power gains from a solid lifter cam would be tremendous. I am not going to do this to my FWD bonneville, I just needed some information in case I get a bright idea to put this motor in something else.

Re: SERIES 1

My car has the auxiliary cooler, a chamber inside the radiator for the trans., and a chamber for the engine oil.
In order to wire a bypass switch, do I need to disconnect/cut the PCM wire that energizes the high speed fan relay and then run a wire to the battery and then join the two wires with the ...

Re: SERIES 1

If you plan on rockers, you're going to kill that car far sooner. That's another 20hp on an L67. But you can't do that without doing something with your exhaust first (you're in a far more dangerous climate for KR than I am, and KR will kill your motor along with the increased torque killing your ...

Re: SERIES 1

Running the smaller pulley in winter is bad for the reasons stated as well as the fact that winter blend gas in most areas is worse for KR. Run it in the summer, and check KR on the hottest most humid day you can. If you have 1° or more through a WOT run from a stop, you need to fix the problem or ...

Re: SERIES 1

While your thinking there is correct, the whole point of this is to make usable horsepower. No dragstrips are open in the winter, and it's snowy and icy in the winter. You cannot utilize excess horsepower in the winter, it just digs a bigger hole in the snow...
That makes sense, but where I live ...
