What to do?
So I traded the 99SE in on a 05 Grand Prix GTP. Love the car but not the payments so my wife decided that we'll buy a smaller cheaper car and sell the GTP. So we bought a 00 Grand Am GT coupe. And still have the GTP for sale (since the begining of Sept) with no calls and a couple questions on ...

How do I get more "instant" power from my GTP?
Right now I when I floor it "to pass a car" I get some lag and it seems to not wanna downshift right away. Like it downshifts one gear and then waits and shifts down again. I wanna know what I could do to get it to react faster?
I think I know the answer but I wanna hear it from you guys first.

Re: A/C smells wet?
What do you mean turn it off periodically? I turn it off before I get out, I usually don't leave it set on the A/C or MAX settings when I turn the car off. Or do you mean to drive the car without the A/C on a couple days a week?
I have had the kids in the car and it's been pretty hot and humid ...

A/C smells wet?
If that makes sense.
I was sitting in the car waiting on my wife and leaned towards the window and the air coming from the vent smelled wet and kinda musty.
Do I need to do an Evap core cleaning? or is there a leak somewhere letting air/water into the system?

Oh I see... I figured they would have put it in the open to tell from a glance if it's boosted or not.

Re: Intense pcm reflashing's
It's supposed to firm your shifts some, But have them check it out because somehow my PCM got the wrong gear ratio. Mine started whining and just acting funny sometimes like it didin't know when to shift. (I thought my tranny was going and almost got it rebuilt) But when I got it scanned at Autozone ...

Re: Should I buy a 2000 SSEi w/ 36k miles
I would keep walking on this car. It's 9 years old, I don't care how few miles it has. It's obvious the car hasn't been on the road very much and has probably only been driven for a couple of miles at a time, not enough to even warm up the engine.
Yes It has low miles, yes it sat more than it ...

Checked out about getting my 99 repainted
I went to the place I had my Tracker fixed at since they did a great job...
I asked them for an estimate for touching up scratches and dings since I have no rust or dents. I do need the whole drivers door repainted though.
They told me $1700 for the whole car to get resprayed!
