Re: SES code, what does it mean?
The code cleared itself. IIRC it takes 3 consecutive successful running cycles to do that? Maybe it was just a dirty gas cap area. But I still don't think this will be the last of it. I still have to find out why it spits gas out if I fill it too fast. How do I get inside/remove the filler tube to ...

Re: SES code, what does it mean?
I cleaned up the gas cap area. But I don't think that is the problem, see, I didn't know the P0442 is related to the gas cap and whatnot. I have this problem in which my car (99 Aurora) will spit gas back out of the filler tube if I put more than approximately 1/4 of a gallon in at a time. I can ...

What's wrong with my front bumper and/or hood?
I will be replacing the front bumper cover anyways because it has a crack below the right headlight, but does it look like the hood is not closing properly or is lopsided or something?

99 aurora SES light (mom's car)
So, I had my ma's car this morning (since mine runs like crap and uses a 1/4 tank every 40 miles) and I thought I would try to get an OBDII on it. I stopped at my local oreilly's and got these codes:
P0741
Torque converter clutch solenoid circuit performance or stuck open
P0420
Catalyst system ...

turn signals not working on 99 aurora
Turn signals don't work. All 4 of em. I took the tail light housings out to check the bulbs, they were fine (wasn't really expecting to find burnt bulbs, as I've never seen them go out in 4's) Checked the turn lamp fuse, it's not blown. The hazard flashers work. Cornering lights work. But not the ...

How to supercharge a NA 3800?
How do you supercharge the naturally aspirated 3800? Is it difficult? My buddy bought a 2001 Monte Carlo SS and wants to supercharge it, I told him I know where to find the answers. Would it be cheaper or more reasonable to buy a used SC 3800, as his has 190k+ on the clock?

99 Aurora won't start
This is my ma's car. She owns a 99 Aurora like me, and when she goes to start it up this morning to go to work, it won't start. I assumed it was a dead battery, but when I tried to turn it over it wouldn't even try to start. All the accessories turn on, headlights, stereo, fans, etc. But when I turn ...

I bought a 99 Aurora yesterday and I am wondering if the bolt pattern/offset, etc. is the same as, say, a Bonneville gxp, or grand prix gxp. Just looking for something bigger than the 16's that are on there.

K thanks. My father-in-law wants to look it over tomorrow to see if we can find anything needing to be replaced. What would cause gas to spray out of the filler?

99 aurora
I just bought a 99 Aurora yesterday, although I knew it had a couple issues. The worst issue, for me, is that when I put gas in, it will come squirting back out. I just fill it slowly and it goes in fine. But I also don't get great gas mileage, about 18 and I only drive on the highway, so I think ...

If you are looking for just a sub, I had nothing but good experiences with Kenwood excelon kfc-xw1224d
I had two of em hooked up to a Kenwood excelon x1200m amp and I could pound em all day and they wouldn't even break a sweat. Pure sq subs. They are a little spendy though if you are looking to ...

new bonneville, what to look for?
Hey all,
I am very interested in getting my first Bonneville pretty soon. My brother had a maroon 92 ssei when I was 17 and I fell in love with them. I like the 2000+ ssei and that's what I'm in the market for. I found a 2000 ssei with 147k miles and I am just wondering what I should look at before ...
