Re: Climate Control Temp Setting

My outside temperature works correctly, although I had to replace the sensor last summer. I have noticed that when the engine temperature gauge reads about 200 (rather than 180), then the heater seems to be working better. Probably time to replace the thermostat as it takes a long time for the ...

Re: Climate Control Temp Setting

The car is still running strong so I am hoping it will last a while longer. It was my wife's daily driver until last week (she drives 400 miles a week!) I upgraded her to an '07 Buick CXS and I get the Bonneville as my car now. Although I do a lot of driving, I don't put on as many miles as she does ...

Re: Climate Control Temp Setting

I seem to recall it working better than this, but considering the car has 318,000 miles on it and the dreaded gas-filler cancer, I think I can live with it. It's nice to know that others are experiencing the same issue.

I'm going to shift gears here, does anyone know where the air compressor for ...

Climate Control Temp Setting

I have a '00 Bonneville SSEi with the automatic climate control. It works fine but I've noticed that if I set the temperature at 72 the air blows cool. I have to crank it up to at least 80 before the air feels warm. Has anyone encountered this and found a solution?

Re: 2000 Bonneville Steering Wheel Control Switches

Worked great! The wires were a little short on the right-hand side, but I was able to make the connection. A bent-nose plier would definitely have made connecting this side easier.

Re: 2000 Bonneville Steering Wheel Control Switches

Great, I'll wait for the weather to warm up a little and give it a try. Thanks much!

2000 Bonneville Steering Wheel Control Switches

Does anyone know the procedure to remove and replace the steering wheel mounted audio controls on a 2000 SSEi? I have replacement switches in hand but I cannot determine how to remove my old ones. I'm not going to save the old ones, so I don't mind tearing them up, but I don't want to destroy the ...
