Re: Gas Tank Rust
The hole under your gas cap is a drain hole for when you overflow your gas tank. Don't fill that one. Do a search for a thread called, "help, my car's taking on water" or something very similar, there is an amazing writeup including pics.

Re: Sunroof Questions
Gagger, why do you think it needs re-sealing? Is your rubber coming apart around the roof? I have an 05 and it doesn't sag and I've never had to tighten any bolts. Most leaks seem to come from drains being blocked. Any pics?

Re: Service engine soon light after trailer hitch wiring
Ok, so it wasn't that easy and I'm sorry I didn't post the solution sooner, as that drives me crazy when other people do it.
Service engine soon light came back on the next morning, couldn't afford to replace the front two O2 sensors right away so I just dealt with it for several months. Refused ...

Just now found the window sticker in the glove box, forgot it was in there.

Re: Service engine soon light after trailer hitch wiring
Problem fixed. Called installer today, explained problem, he knew exactly what it was. He removed a self-resetting breaker and put an inline fuse in it's place. Went back to the dealer, hooked up the scanner, and voila! O2 sensor code. Cleared code, no more "service engine soon" light.

Haro,
Can't pull any codes because the scanner isn't communicating with the car.

Service engine soon light after trailer hitch wiring
Hi all,
As some of you know, I had a trailer hitch installed on my 2005 GXP along with wiring for the lights. Service engine light came on the next day, and a GM Tech2 scanner won't communicate with the car. The tech at the dealership where I work thinks there's a faulty connection somewhere that ...

Re: Towing with the GXP
Had it done at the local Leonard dealer. It's from a company called Curt. 12044/36289 - Buick LeSabre - All models, Buick Lucerne, Pontiac Bonneville - All models, Oldsmobile Aurora. The wiring harness was a generic that I had the installer hide under the bumper cover next to the hitch. It's mostly ...

Re: I'm gonna do it! I'm going to tow with the GXP!
Thanks for all the replies! We went and picked up the new Seadoo jet boat with a borrowed Avalanche since I don't have my hitch installed yet on the GXP. After that experience I'm sure the GXP will do just fine.

You can also de-pressurize the fuel system by pulling the fuel pump fuse and trying to start the car for 5 - 10 seconds. This takes all the pressure off the fuel rail before you stick a screwdriver in the schrader valve and you won't have gas spraying everywhere.

Re: falken tires
Had them on my Miata (which wasn't exactly stock) and LOVED them. Had the Ziex 912's and can't say enough good things about them. Great traction, good ride quality and the car cornered like it was on rails with these tires. Good price too. If the PO hadn't just put a new set of Pirelli's on the ...

Re: I'm gonna do it! I'm going to tow with the GXP!
The biggest issue I have with adding a tranny cooler is there doesn't appear to be enough space to add one in front of the radiator, or at least one of decent size. If I were taking a road trip, or towing in hilly terrain, I'd add one, no matter how small, but I'm just not going far enough to make ...

So my wife and I went to look at a SeaDoo jetboat and we bought the darn thing! Of course, there's only one issue. What do we tow it with? Hmmmm, not gonna be her Hyundai Sonata, we sold the Silverado so that leaves.... the GXP!

Hi Human!
I don't want to be too specific about my location because of all the nut cases out there, but I'm north of those areas you mentioned, yet only minutes away so that should give you a pretty good idea.....
