Really? Nobody has any idea what that wire is or why it would relate to a high oil pressure indication?

There is a pretty thick guage wire coming from the drivers side ("front") of the engine, to a part mounted just behind lower part the radiator. its smoking and exposed. its as thick as a battery cable....what is it and why would it be hot? Ok, new filter on, no pressure up front...and barely any at the filter. Can't hear the pump priming pre-start. Haven't checked the relay yet.. will do that today.
