Re: '03 SSEi....Burning wire/oil pressure over 100....

Really? Nobody has any idea what that wire is or why it would relate to a high oil pressure indication?

Plus, just yesyerday my oil pressure guage went up to just ...

Re: 3800 Series II cracked block?

It has overheated a little...but not bad. slightly over 200. However, the tranny was acting funny this last weekend, and it was HOT. Hot enough to burn me when I pulled the dipstick out. The fluid looks thin....my biggest problem is im completely indigent at the moment. guess I need to let it sit ...

3800 Series II cracked block?

Help! I have coolant in my oil, and oil in my radiator. would this be just one of the gaskets or is it likely the block is cracked?

Thanks, Beast. I'll find a pressure guage Monday. Can you tell me where the MAF sensor and FPR are?

Re: 2003 SSEi Fuel pump problem?

Hey again. Sorry to resurrect this, but I'm lost. I replaced the pump, and have fuel up to the fuel rail, although I don't have a pressure guage to check it.. are they expensive? The car still wont start. Just turns over, and never fires. New battery, pump, and filter. What else would keep it from ...

Re: 2003 SSEi Fuel pump problem?

Ok, new filter on, no pressure up front...and barely any at the filter. Can't hear the pump priming pre-start. Haven't checked the relay yet.. will do that today. Hope that's all it is as I can't find anyone around here to do the work for less than 700 bucks. Ouch. I'll NEVER run that engine that ...

2003 SSEi Fuel pump problem?

Running a good will errand for a family member, I got WAY low on fuel. After shutting off the vehicle to fuel it, it cranked back up hard, acting like it had jumped time or something..( I'm mechanically inclined, but NOT a mechanic, so please bear with me..)---
It quit running after a few minutes ...

Re: 2003 Factory HU re-install

Thanks for the replies, y'all.

So you wouldn't be able to read the LCD at all with those incandecents burnt out? The only lights working, it seems, are the bottom row. There is no light from the theftlock led, either. Could there be a problem with the harness or connector? It didn't look like the ...

2003 Factory HU re-install

Hi you all. Great forum, there is so much to learn here it's not funny.

I got a 03 SSEi not long ago that was stripped of it's audio- they had an aftermarket on in there, and took it out before they sold the car. Anyway, I got a factory HU off ebay, and installed it, but I got nothing. No display ...

Re: 2003 SSEi Wheel Hub Assembly

Yep. I'm going back up there tomorrow. I've been really busy, and haven't even gotten to the hub assembly yet. I picked up a part for nothing, and now all I need is a puller. Hopefully I can wrap all this up within the nxt few days, before the water warms up and the Bass start biting!!

Re: 2003 SSEi Wheel Hub Assembly

Sorry, been away awhile.

I'm just pretty sure they didn't. (Flush the transaxle). It was only in a bay maybe 15 minutes ( I went right down the street to another store then drove back by), and then they had it parked outside, where I didn't park it, with the wheels turned hard right. They called 3 ...

Thanks for the replies, you all. I'll watch for some Stars or Five Spokes whatever they are called. I think they look more advanced than the others. Re: 2003 SSEi Wheel Hub Assembly

Thanks for all the help, you guys. I should be able to tear into it next week, and I feel like I have an idea how it will go now, thanks to you. The Franchise garrage I took it to wanted over 450 bucks to do it. Not even sure they did the flush and all that to the tranny yesterday, but they charged ...
