Fog Lamp Bulb Replacement
Okay, so both my fog lamps have gone out and I'm wanting to get them replaced. I've already bought the bulbs. The only problem I'm having is trying to remove the old bulb. Could anyone put up a visual demonstration with pictures or a video how to do that? I'd like to get this done tomorrow afternoon.

Re: ECU Tuning
I don't really have any mods other than an a K&N filter. Have any idea the average cost of tuning a stock PCM for optimized fuel efficiency?

ECU Tuning
Is there any way to tune the stock ECU on a 2001 SLE? What's required to do that, and how much would it cost? Could I do it myself?

Re: Rev Limiter
Well then it's time to park your car, because you are probably doing damage to the car driving it in this condition.
That's going to be awfully hard to do since both my father and I use it. It's a long story. I'd really hate to do that, but since it's for the sake of keeping it then I'll have to ...

I'll be sure to tell him that. After all, since it has 113K miles it really needs the work done.00Beast wrote:Well then you need to tell your dad the car needs some maintenance. I'd do the fuel filter and the plugs and wires and have everything else looked at.

Re: Rev Limiter
Replace your spark plugs and wires. NGK TR55 and NAPA Beldin Premium plug wires. All you need is an hour, a cold beverage, a 5/8" spark plug socket, ratchet and extensions. Don't pay the stealership $100 to do what you can do for $50.
That's the problem. I don't have the money or tools to do that ...

Re: Rev Limiter
Does it seem to hit a wall at 4500 or does it miss? When did you last do plugs and wires?
I have no idea when. Ever since my dad bought the car for me we've taken it to a GM dealership once. They told us that everything checked out, but that was when the right rear window motor gave out. That was ...

Re: Rev Limiter
No, Stock rev limiter according to the stock HP tuner file I just downloaded for an 01 L36 is 5850. (spark cutout at 5850, fuel cutout at 5950.)
But otherwise Ed is right, you need to have stiffer valve springs to rev higher, and even then, without a cam or rockers, there's not reason to.
If you ...

The one where you go WOT! Haha. I've noticed that a few times whenever I floor it (Yes I do that) it only goes up to 4500, and yet it shows it can go to 7000+ rpm on the tachometer.

Rev Limiter
So I've been wondering lately if there was a way I could raise or remove the rev limiter. Is this a good or bad idea? Will it even impact performance at all?

A few questions I'd like some answers for.
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been on for quite a long time. I've been busy with school. My graduation is coming up and I've been pretty much sent all over the place to get prepared for it. Haha.
So here are my questions...

Strange isn't it? Although I have a suspicion that the company specializes more in rice-burner performance products.

Weapon-R Pontiac Bonneville Dragon Intake
I was looking on eBay for an intake system and I managed to stumble upon an intake system I've never heard of or seen before. The company is called Weapon-R and they have an intake system for the 3.8 V6 in Pontiac Bonnevilles. Have any of you people heard about this product? I'd like to know your ...

Re: Intake Gasket Replacement
@ myfirstbonnie: I looked at it before and it says the work done on that is a 1997 L36. Is it the same as the L36 in a 2001? That's the thing that's throwing me off.

Intake Gasket Replacement
Hey guys! Been a while since I've been on here, but I need to know some information regarding intake gaskets.
Recently I went to the local Buick/GMC (and also formerly Pontiac) dealership and I was told the intake gaskets needed to be replaced. The estimate they got is $700+ just to replace them ...

Yeah, a GXP bumper wouldn't be so bad either.
