Yes they do require an extra module for passkey but you can get them online much cheaper than at an installer.

I suggest you do not try this yourself if you do not have experience with electronics and wiring. I have done alarms, remote starts, and combo kits and they can be difficult at times. I suggest professional installation because you will have a warranty and also you can have support if anything needs ...

I used laquer thinner on a set of tails on a 300 that needed to have it stripped, you can sand down a bit if you want but make sure you don't choose too rough of a grit because it will end up scratching the tails if you are not careful. you don't have to add clear coat if you apply vht nightshades correctly, I have had mine done for a couple years and still have a nice shine w/o clear

try to take some pics of the whole car with a long exposure on a tripod, they usually turn out really cool and will give us a better idea of what they look like in person.

if you add a coat of vht nightshades it will make it darker but not black, you can do a light coat and make sure you do it in a nice dry area without much humidity, that is what usually makes nightshades have a dull finish. If this does happen you can wetsand to make it smooth.
