If I'm not mistaken these are identical to the ones I'm trying to get.

Looking into buying 18s
As the title states, I'm looking into getting a set of police steelies for my bonneville. I was wondering what, if anything, I need to consider/change before making the purchase. I don't know anything about offsets, etc. Even working at a tire shop I haven't learned anything related to that. Will my ...

Re: Stainless Steel Hydraulic Hose
Thank you for the wealth of knowledge on this. I really want to go with these lines so if a bit of finagling is required but still do-able then I'll go for it. MattStrike, I'm sure I'll understand fully when I go back to reference it (I'm putting new pads and rotors tomorrow for safety inspection ...

Re: Stainless Steel Hydraulic Hose
I'm looking at these and comparing to what I see on rockauto (which only has rubber btw)
They look identical but I could be mistaken.

Stainless Steel Hydraulic Hose
I have a quick question. I used the search and read through some threads but I'm unclear as to whether or not I have to fabricate the lines (the ones right off the caliper that are usually rubber) or if I have to buy them somewhere. I'm just trying to upgrade them when I do the brake line overhaul ...

Re: New car. Need advice.
Okay, so I see the biggest issue is that cracking/failure of the upper plenum. I remember reading about this briefly skimming through threads. I don't remember what the conclusion ended up being, I remember some had suggested the metal plenum from earlier years of buick engines or modding the EGR ...

New car. Need advice.
Hello all, it's been a good while since I've been on save for the few times I've lurked and threadsurfed.
In about two weeks or so here I'm about to acquire a spiritual successor to my current and first car, an SE 92 Bonnie.
The new one is white as well, '98, clean everything, and 83k miles on the ...

Re: Steering Knuckle and Ball Joints
Just wanted to tell you all that it finally passed safety inspection and I'm completely road legal! Thank you everyone for your help it's been such a long journey. By no means is it over but I can finally start focusing on less important things like fixing my headliner. XD

Re: Steering Knuckle and Ball Joints
So I finally got the work done today! It was a success but with a minor issue:
I couldn't replace the ball joint because the one I bought is a single piece that replaces both the retainer and joint. My car is a '92 so it looks like they welded the retainer to the control arm using rivets of some ...

Steering Knuckle and Ball Joints
Really straight forward here. I won't go into detail about how lucky it was I came across one in great shape (only 30 bucks at that). When it arrives in the mail I'll be spending some time sanding it down and going over with paint.
That said, I was wondering if there was any tips things to look out ...

All but one
So everything has been successful in fixing my car. Thank you so much for the info about the flare nut wrench. After tackling it I was surprised just how difficult it was to unseat it and how impossible it'd have been with anything less. Unfortunately, I checked the right steering knuckle and it's ...

Re: Transmission Mount - Fixed. Trans Cooler Line is a myste
I wanted to give an update/overview.
After fixing the defected transmission mount, the leak coming from the cooler line was opened wider.
In the process of changing the brake pads and rotors, 2 of the front left wheel hub studs snapped off and one of the caliper mounting bolts snapped off in the ...

Alright, I posted all the info on craigslist which you can find at this link. I'd prefer text over anything as I always have my phone.

So, I think I already know the answer to my question but please confirm this.

the one on the left is missing entirely because the screw end of the caliper piston snapped off inside the Steering Knuckle ?
So I have to replace that, right? Unless there's some ...

Re: Transmission Mount
Well sorry for going off topic. I got the job done yesterday. It was a pain but ultimately simple. I was shocked to see the correct angle/height of the engine with the mount in its proper place. But while that went over smoothly, changing the front rotors and shoes did not. Long story short, need to ...

Btw. I checked recently and I have a leak that seems to be going along the cooler line. It's very slow for now (thank God) but I can't have this. Winter is coming..

Transmission Mount
Well after all these weeks struggling from one thing to the next, I have found a problem after getting safety inspected (which I failed.) The front trans mount needs to be replaced. After looking at this post I bookmarked a while back:

Re: I'm back again, engine noise. (video)
Hey, I thought I'd come back to report this. So apparently what was bogging the system down was bad spark plug wires. After I changed them the engine sounds much much smoother. Before I had done that I took it in for emissions and it failed wildly. If I recall, the HC emissions was 8x the limit and ...

Re: I'm back again, engine noise. (video)
I pat myself on the back because first go, no leaks or issues and the new gasket for the transmission is OEM and not the flimsy kind that I apparently had before. Glad I took precaution and bought it.
I finally changed the oils and their respective filters. However, still having misfires at idle and ...

Just realized edits don't count as bumps here. =/
I have the factory manual and on sunday I'll finally change all those oils/fluids. I have a question regarding changing the transmission fluid. I've seen a couple videos where people flush the trans by turning on the car and filling it as it spits ...
